A series of paintings documenting the last words said at the endings of her romantic entanglements. The paintings work in series as well as individual pieces in their own right and open up the dialogue of what it is to end something that is so fragile and beautiful. That hurtful words, once said, cannot be taken back. The paintings are the juxtaposition of the brutality of the human mind and it's language, alongside a flower that speaks no words. With these paintings we are left imprinted with the effect of seeing the blue flower of hope next to a one liner that takes all that hope away. The viewer is left with this uncomfortable reality. This is something that cannot be resolved. Like the endings of partnerships, it lingers on the mind. The paintings become motifs of grief. The moment that something with potential got nipped in its infancy. No seed was ever made.
